Welcome
Again
If you have read the preface of Book One you will
have seen how these books came into being and my thanks again to those
who have made me what I am.
I would repeat my offer, if you feel you have insights, you might
like to mail them to me - tony.thomas@rochfordcc.co.uk
And
so to the book
Church isn't always what we'd like it to be. Why? Because
church is people; redeemed people, yes, but still with God working on
their lives! Which means we're still imperfect and therefore we
get things wrong, so sometimes church us messy!
That's what this book is all about -
a wonderful God working with less than wonderful people! How do
you cope with some of the people who call themselves Christians?
How do we cope when it all goes nastily wrong? How can we try
to reduce the number of times that things go wrong?
Yes, that's why I've written this second book, because
church isn't about being on your own, it's about relating to others
who call themselves Christians, people who have still a long way to
go before they get to heaven - they're on the way but the path is bumpy?
I hope you can cope with some of the things this
book suggests. If you do, it'll be a better church!
