Frameworks: Psalm 150: The final call to praise the Lord


[Preliminary Comments: The simplicity of this psalm prohibits us making any further comment beyond the heading-leaders given.



v.1 WHERE praise should be appearing


v.1  Praise the Lord.

Praise God [i] in his sanctuary;
    praise him
[ii] in his mighty heavens.

v.2 WHY it should be coming forth


v.2  Praise him [i] for his acts of power;
    praise him
[ii] for his surpassing greatness.

v.3-5 HOW it should be coming forth


v.3  Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
v.4  praise him with tambourine and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
v.5  praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.


v.6 From WHO it should be coming forth


v.6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
