[Notes:
Did you note the symmetry? For seven days they offer
two rams (goats),and seven male lambs (sheep rams) On the first
day they offer THIRTEEN (!!!) bulls but this number reduces by
one each day. On the eighth day they offer just one bull, one
ram and the seven male sheep. Oh yes and all eight days they offer
one male goat as a sin offering. All this meat is not for eating
but for the Lord. It is an extravagant way of showing their intention
to bless the Lord. Burning on the bronze altar must have carried
on almost continually with this number of beasts. Tabernacles
celebrates the time in the desert that the nation lived in tents
on the journey to the Promised Land.]
