Why Read the Books of the Bible

INTRODUCTION

Elsewhere on this site we have a page with links to pages of introductions to each of the books of the Bible.

More recently we had been working on an 'Easy Read Bible' approach using 'Frameworks', each chapter of the Bible broken down into its structure to make easy reading. In this process we have produced new, more simple Introduction pages for most books of the Old Testament and a few for the New, starting from the question, "Why Read...?"

We have taken each of these new Introduction pages and made them available here. The main 'Frameworks' pages are not available online for copyright reasons but we hope these extra Introduction pages will be helpful to the new Bible reader. To go to the appropriate book Introduction, simply click on the name in the two outer columns. Pages will be added as available.
